Security: A priority to solve in the Dominican Republic

This week was very painful for me. Something really bad happened to my father. Some robbers stole my father's jeep. I felt sad because they did it in my own house, I mean , the jeep was inside my house and they entered and stole the jeep.

I actually think thieves where checking him from many days ago. Because, by the moment they did the robbery my father was not at home.
I live in a country where nobody is secure. Where you can not sit outside your house because even there,  they can do something bad to you , such as: kill you, steal your things and so on.

This country has a lot of  places that aren't secure. And the principal problem is that if you go to the police when something bad happened to you, they don't do anything, sometimes they are the ones that commit the robberies. Dominican Republic is a little country where no one can be in peace because of the delinquency and the govertment is the worst one.

It's a shame that the dominican society is in the list of the more unsecured ones. As a matter of fact, I feel really embarrased to be here, people don't respect the rules , nobody can trust in someone, every body is trying to trick the other.

I consider that the problem of security here, is a priority to solve. It's incredible that in your own house you can not feel saved. The only thing we may do is pray to god, being careful when walking down the streets and even in home, close the windows, doors, etc. To prevent some stealers come in.
